Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking an Estimating Engineer 2 to support the preparation of cost estimates for competitive bids and negotiated proposals. The role offers exposure to multiple facets of the construction and estimating process, developing both technical skills and understanding of JE Dunn’s project execution strategies.

The candidate will perform quantity surveys, read project specifications, and assist with pricing, subcontractor coordination, and plan distribution, while building

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• 2+ years construction experience.
• Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds and may require overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Performs quantity survey of materials shown on project plans.
• Reads and outlines project specifications.
• Maintains an audit trail of the quantity survey from estimate to estimate.
• Supports vendor/subcontractor pricing/bid solicitation and coordination.
• Supports the distribution of plans and specifications to vendors/subcontractors.
• Works collaboratively with project team members, subcontractors, vendors and clients.
