Job summary

JE Dunn is seeking an Estimating Manager 1 in the Omaha area to prepare cost estimates for competitive bids and negotiated proposals, and to develop economical construction approaches. The role supports JE Dunn processes and tools to produce comprehensive estimates aligned with the company strategy and values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field preferred.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• 3+ years estimating experience; 5+ years construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs quantity surveys of materials shown on project plans.
• Reads and outlines project specifications.
• Maintains an audit trail of quantities from estimate to estimate.
• Supports vendor/subcontractor pricing and bid solicitation.
• Distributes plans and specs to vendors/subcontractors.
• Collaborates with project team members, subcontractors, vendors and clients.
• Gains field operational exposure through onsite project support.
