Job summary

JE Dunn Construction Company in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Estimating Engineer 2 (Mechanical/Electrical) to support cost estimating for bids and proposals. This role provides learning opportunities within JE Dunn processes and tools while developing professional skills.

You will perform quantity surveys, read specifications, maintain audit trails, and assist with vendor pricing and coordination. The position offers exposure to field operations and a path toward senior roles within the estimating

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree/experience required for construction management, engineering or related field.
• 2+ years construction experience required.
• Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Performs quantity survey of materials shown on project plans.
• Reads and outlines project specifications.
• Maintains an audit trail of the quantity survey from estimate to estimate.
• Supports vendor/subcontractor pricing/bid solicitation and coordination.
• Gains field operational exposure through onsite project support.
