Job summary

JE Dunn Construction in Raleigh, NC, is seeking an Estimating Engineer 2 who will continue learning JE Dunn processes and assist with cost estimates for bids and negotiated proposals, gaining exposure to the building process and project execution.

You will read drawings and specs, prepare basic cost estimate components, coordinate vendor quotes, participate in constructability reviews, and support scopes of work for trades, while collaborating with project teams and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare basic components of cost estimates for competitive bids and negotiated proposals.
• Solicit, coordinate, and compile vendor quotes for estimate team evaluation.
• Assist with pricing and tracking of value creation items from development through estimate inclusion.
• Participate in constructability reviews; document QA/QC input and ensure estimate integration.
• Assist with developing scopes of work for basic trades and receives and analyzes subcontractor/vendor proposals.
