Job summary

U.S. Engineering is seeking an Estimating Director to lead all estimating operations across the Construction Group, overseeing processes, people, and systems for accuracy and cost effectiveness.

The role partners with senior leadership to establish budgets for hardware and software, maintain the cost history database, and mentor regional estimators to improve speed, quality, and win rates across projects. Travel to regional offices is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems.
• Experience leading estimating teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and internet research tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide managerial guidance to Regional Managers of Estimating and Chief Estimators.
• Chair the Estimating steering committee as needed.
• Oversee estimating software, tools and technology implementations.
• Establish SOPs for estimating across the USEC system.
• Develop relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Set policies for software platforms and configurations.
