Job summary

Gravis Law, PLLC is seeking an experienced Estates & Probate Paralegal to join our Salt Lake City metro area team. You will support attorneys through all stages of estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters, from intake to final distribution, in a collaborative, growth‑minded environment.

You’ll manage dockets, draft planning documents, prepare probate filings, and assist with asset transfers, while coordinating with courts and institutions and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of estates, probate, or trust administration paralegal experience.
• Strong knowledge of probate procedures and estate planning documents.
• Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
• Ability to work independently with professionalism and discretion.
• Notary preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage attorney dockets and deadlines for probate filings, trust administration, and estate planning matters.
• Draft, review, and file estate planning documents (wills, trusts, POAs, advance directives).
• Prepare probate pleadings and filings (applications, inventories, accountings, closings).
• Assist with trust funding, asset transfers, and beneficiary distributions.
• Coordinate with courts, financial institutions, and third parties to move matters forward.
• Support attorneys in client meetings by gathering financial information and preparing summaries.
• Maintain organized client files in digital and physical formats.
• Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, and fiduciaries with professionalism and empathy.
• Mentor junior staff and participate in process improvements.
• Occasionally assist with front desk coverage.
