Job description

Gravis Law, PLLC is seeking an experienced Senior Estates & Probate Paralegal to join our growing Salt Lake City metro area team.

As a Senior Paralegal, you’ll play a key role in supporting attorneys and clients through all stages of estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters—from initial client intake through final distribution. You’ll thrive in a collaborative, supportive culture that values teamwork, initiative, and professional growth.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage attorney dockets and track critical deadlines for probate filings, trust administration, and estate planning matters.
  • Draft, review, and file estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives.
  • Prepare probate pleadings and filings, including applications, inventories, accountings, and closing documents.
  • Assist with trust funding, asset transfers, and preparation of beneficiary distribution documentation.
  • Coordinate with courts, financial institutions, and third parties to gather information and move matters forward efficiently.
  • Support attorneys in client meetings by gathering financial and asset information and preparing summaries.
  • Maintain organized and compliant client files in both digital and physical formats.
  • Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, and fiduciaries with professionalism and empathy, providing updates and guidance throughout the process.
  • Mentor and support junior paralegals and administrative staff, sharing best practices and improving team workflows.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, forms management, and SOP development specific to estates and probate practice.
  • Occasionally assist with front desk coverage to ensure a seamless client experience.
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of estates, probate, or trust administration paralegal experience (required).
  • Strong knowledge of probate procedures, estate planning documents, and court filing requirements.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of professionalism and discretion.
  • A proactive, team-first attitude and a genuine interest in estate planning and client service.
  • Notary preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
