Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree; Candidates with Medicaid/healthcare or estate recovery experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• Working knowledge of personal computers
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of Medicaid, insurance, or healthcare-related processes and regulations
• Background/experience with probate, property, or real estate
• Excellent analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment
• Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently

Responsabilités

• Lead day-to-day MERP operations and oversee case processing activities
• Serve as the primary resource for CSRs and caseworkers, providing guidance on workflow, procedures, and case-related questions
• Train, mentor, and onboard staff on MERP policies, processes, and system functionality
• Monitor workloads, case inventories, and processing timelines to ensure work is completed accurately and timely
• Review estate recovery cases, probate filings, notices, and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy
• Evaluate Medical claims paid by Medicaid and calculate value to be recovered
• Produce operational reports, statistics, and case status updates for management
• Work with external stakeholders such as EOHHS state users on workflow and system questions
• Identify workflow issues and recommend process improvements to management
• Assist with testing new procedures, training materials, and operational enhancements
• Communicate with attorneys, funeral homes, nursing homes, next of kin, etc. to set up case information and assist with processing cases
• Perform additional duties and complete daily tasks as assigned to support business needs
