Job summary

Jarvis Law Office, P.C. in Parkersburg, WV, seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in Estate Planning & Elder Law. In-office, full-time, exempt position reporting to the Managing Attorney.

You will design plans, guide clients from engagement through signing, and collaborate with paralegals and the Client Success team. The role requires WV licensure, experience in Elder Law, and strong client-facing skills.

Qualifications

• Active West Virginia law license in good standing.
• At least 2 years of legal sales or client development experience.
• At least 1 year of Elder Law experience.
• At least 5 years of customer service experience.
• Working knowledge of estate planning documents, trusts, Medicaid planning, and probate.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead plan design meetings with prospective clients and develop plan recommendations aligned with goals.
• Prepare Attorney-Client Engagement Agreements and secure signatures before work begins.
• Review information from initial meetings and outline plan designs for drafting attorney or paralegal.
• Meet with clients, family members, and trustees at signing appointments to review final documents and answer questions.
• Answer client questions and calls about case status as needed.
• Review estate planning documents before signing and ensure accuracy of final documents.
