Job summary

Jarvis Law Office, P.C. seeks a Managing Attorney to lead its estate planning and elder law practice. The role oversees a legal team across Ohio, with hybrid in-office work, focusing on pre-planning and crisis cases and upholding ethics and quality. You will report to the Founding Attorney and CEO on respective matters.

You will design plans with clients, supervise staff, drive growth in client engagement, and ensure high standards in documentation, compliance, and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio / West Virginia law license in good standing.
• 5+ years of management or supervisory experience.
• 5+ years of legal sales or client development experience with a strong track record.
• 2+ years of Elder Law experience; estate planning, administration, and Medicaid planning preferred.
• Coaching mindset with clear, timely feedback.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience with legal practice management software (ActionStep a plus).

Responsibilities

• Lead the Legal Team and oversee day-to-day management of the department.
• Supervise attorneys and paralegals; conduct 1:1s and annual evaluations.
• Monitor workflow, coach attorneys, and manage the budget.
• Assist with hiring and onboarding of staff.
• Review policies, procedures, and client feedback to reduce liability and improve satisfaction.
• Build and lead client workshops, webinars, and community engagement.
