Job summary

Jackson Family Wines is seeking an Estate Manager to lead the Los Olivos Brewer-Clifton and Cambria teams. The role focuses on selling, guest experiences, and recruiting/training talent for Direct-to-Consumer channels.

Ideal candidate brings 3+ years in tasting room or retail leadership, a proven track record in direct sales, and the ability to manage events and budgets while delivering exceptional hospitality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience in retail, sales, or tasting room management.
• Proven track record in direct sales and growing the business.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends.
• Must be fluent in English.
• Knowledge of merchandising wine and non-wine items.

Responsibilities

• Lead all tasting room operations including sales plans and guest service.
• Set performance goals and drive direct selling initiatives via email, phone, and text.
• Coach estate team to deliver top wine education, hospitality, and sales skills.
• Monitor sales trends and budgets to meet revenue and profitability targets.
• Plan and execute events and outreach to build a solid client base of top-tier collectors.
• Manage all Trade appointments to ensure bookings and execution are efficient and professional.
• Oversee events to direct staff and vendors and resolve issues promptly.
• Evaluate programs by reviewing customer feedback and auditing results.
• Execute hospitality events and visitor programs consistent with winery image and budget.
• Collaborate with Brand Marketing and cross-functional teams on budget targets and promotional plans.
• Develop retail advertising and annual promotional plans.
• Directly manages team of Direct to Consumer employees including Estate Assistant Manager and Direct Sales staff.
