Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a House Manager to work with the Estate Manager to oversee the main estate in Kapaa, Hawaii. You will supervise daily operations, coordinate staff, and ensure the property remains in excellent condition while hands-on troubleshooting maintenance tasks.

You will schedule service contractors, manage safety audits, assist with payroll backup and reporting, and maintain strict safety protocols for staff and guests.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of house management experience including maintenance repair.
• Ability to manage contractors and coordinate multiple projects.
• Strong knowledge of property systems and maintenance practices.
• Experience creating high level reports on household projects and staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Main House, including pond management and general troubleshooting.
• Coordinate setups and breakdowns for visits and special events
• Manage routine building maintenance for interior and exterior finishes
• Schedule and supervise service contractors for regular upkeep and specialized tasks
• Perform hands-on troubleshooting and repairs for cabinets, appliances, doors, windows, lighting, and alarm systems
• Maintain knowledge of property systems (e.g. HVAC, pumps) and ensure safety compliance
• Assist with payroll backup and credit card allocations
• Handle purchasing and maintain reporting
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and conduct regular safety inspections
• Respond to safety hazards and implement corrective actions
• Implement visitor protocols and ensure secure access to the property
• Other duties as assigned
