Job summary

Rosie’s Place, founded in 1974, seeks an Essential Services Worker to support Food Pantry, Dining Room and Front Desk. You will engage guests with dignity, assist with meals and safety checks, and help diverse populations access essential services.

Reports to the Senior Director of Emergency Services. Key duties include food distribution, guest check-in, front lobby support, and crisis response while collaborating with multiple departments on a flexible schedule.

• Physically able to lift 50 lbs and perform related tasks; available for 6+ months.
• Bilingual skills in Haitian Creole / Spanish / Cantonese / Mandarin preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Rosie’s Place Food Programs, including Pantry and Dining Room.
• Assist with guest check-in, verification, stocking, cleaning and safety.
• Assist Front Lobby tasks: log guest names, answer phones, sort mail.
• Provide dignified, respectful responses to questions and crises.
• Be flexible to work across departments as assigned.
• Perform additional duties as directed by supervisors.
