Job summary

Rosie’s Place is seeking a Fill-In Essential Services Associate to support multiple essential programs, including the Food Pantry, Dining Room, and Front Desk. This per diem role reports to the Senior Director of Emergency Services and requires flexible availability across weekdays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate the majority of listed qualifications.
• Ability to speak Haitian Creole and/or Spanish and/or Cantonese and/or Mandarin in addition to English is highly preferred.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to learn new skills and be a team player.
• Able to work in a multicultural setting with diverse background people.
• Strong customer service mindset with diplomatic communication.
• Must be well-organized.
• Experience in human services, customer service or food service is preferred.
• Ability to use computers and other office equipment.
• Physically able to lift 50 lbs and perform related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Work in Rosie's Place Food Programs (Food Pantry and Dining Room).
• Handle the Front Lobby duties: log guest names, answer phones, sort mail, assist guests with needs.
• Respond to questions and concerns in a dignified, respectful manner.
• Intervene in crises and emergencies.
• Be flexible to work across departments as assigned by supervisors.
• Perform additional duties as needed by leadership.
