Job summary

Contemporary Amperex Technology USA Inc. is seeking a proactive energy storage sales professional to drive growth in the U.S. market. You will build and maintain relationships with EPCs, developers, utilities, and partners while leading commercial negotiations and bid support.

You will manage quotations, samples, and orders, ensuring targets are met. A strong network in utility-scale energy projects and willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in international trade, engineering, business or related field.
  • Experience in energy storage, renewable energy, solar, power, or related industries.
  • Prior EPC company experience or strong EPC network preferred.
  • Existing relationships with EPCs, developers, utilities, integrators, or key customers.
  • Experience in business development, sales, account management, or commercial roles for utility-scale energy projects.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
  • Professional proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and expand the company’s energy storage business in the U.S., driving sales growth and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and industry partners, especially EPCs, developers, utilities, integrators.
  • Lead commercial contract and pricing negotiations during project bidding; support quotations and cost breakdowns; coordinate with teams.
  • Manage quotations and order follow-ups for customer samples; ensure timely conversions and annual sales targets.
  • Serve as the primary contact for energy storage customers; understand needs, organize visits, and support commercial discussions.
  • Identify and develop new EPC accounts and partnerships to expand the pipeline.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and expand the company’s energy storage business in the U.S. market, driving sustainable sales growth and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and industry partners, with a particular focus on EPCs, developers, utilities, integrators, and other key stakeholders in the energy storage ecosystem.
  • Lead commercial contract and pricing negotiations during project bidding processes; support internal quotation preparation and cost breakdown, and coordinate effectively with project teams and cross-functional departments.
  • Manage quotations and order follow-ups for customer sample requirements, ensuring timely conversion and achievement of annual sales targets.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for energy storage customers, including understanding client needs, organizing customer visits, supporting commercial discussions, and maintaining strong long-term customer relationships.
  • Identify and develop new EPC accounts and partnerships while leveraging existing industry relationships to expand the company's customer base and project pipeline.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or above; background in international trade, engineering, business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in the energy storage, renewable energy, solar, power, or related industries is preferred.
  • Prior experience working for an EPC company is highly preferred. Alternatively, candidates with an established network and strong customer relationships with EPC companies will be strongly considered.
  • Existing relationships with EPCs, developers, utilities, integrators, or other key customers in the utility-scale renewable energy and energy storage markets are preferred.
  • Experience in business development, sales, account management, or commercial roles supporting utility-scale energy or infrastructure projects is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of business etiquette, with excellent communication, negotiation, relationship management, and leadership skills.
  • Highly motivated, competitive, and results-driven, with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Willingness to travel frequently based on business and customer needs.
  • Previous experience in energy storage sales or overseas/international business is preferred.
  • Professional proficiency in English.

This position may be based in:

  • Texas
  • Arizona
  • California

Remote arrangements may be considered depending on the candidate’s location and business needs.

CATL also has an office located in Milpitas, California, for candidates based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
