Job summary

Mead Lumber Company is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to promote and sell construction materials and services to existing and prospective contractor customers for residential and commercial projects. We value a dependable candidate with strong communication and a drive to excel, in a 100% employee-owned environment.

You will learn our products, procedures and customer service philosophy while building relationships, delivering quotes, and ensuring project profitability.

Qualifications

• Must have sales and industry experience.
• Experience with BisTrack, BlueBeam, MiTek, and HubSpot preferred.
• Some knowledge of construction industry and local building codes preferred.
• Ability to read plans and truss layouts.
• Construction background a plus.
• Current driver’s license, auto insurance and good driving record.
• Self-starter with a great attitude and willingness to help others.
• Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales.

Responsibilities

• Learn company products, procedures, culture and customer service philosophy.
• Develop relationships with customers via in-person and phone contact.
• Prepare and present accurate sales proposals and quotes.
• Maximize sales in existing markets; coordinate deliveries.
• Attend events as a company representative.
