Mead Lumber is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to promote construction materials to contractor customers. The role emphasizes relationship building, accurate bids, and on-site delivery coordination.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the construction industry and local building codes is preferred.
• Read plans and truss layouts to support proposals.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, insurance, and a clean driving record.
• Motivated, results-driven, with a proven sales track record.
• Ability to create and deliver customer-focused presentations.
• Strong relationship management and receptiveness to feedback.

Responsibilities

• Learn company products, procedures, culture, and customer service philosophy.
• Learn order and credit procedures, including purchase orders and receiving.
• Develop relationships with customers through in-person and phone contacts; prepare bids and quotes.
• Prepare and present accurate sales proposals to customers.
• Maximize sales in assigned market areas and deliver timely, courteous service.
• Research materials, prices, and technical details; assist with on-site deliveries and training.
