McElroy Metal in Diamond, MO is seeking a Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations, drive lean improvements, and deliver on production deadlines with a focus on safety, quality, and cost control.

The role requires strong leadership, problem solving, and the ability to develop a technically proficient team while optimizing workflows across the plant. The position reports to the Operations Manager and offers an engaging, hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and strong communication skills.
• Ability to analyze problems and coach others to solve them.
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate and execute.
• Experience refining manufacturing processes for quality, delivery and cost improvements.
• 5–10 years in industrial/manufacturing settings with supervisory experience.
• Lean management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and quality best practices as core values.
• Oversee preventative maintenance and housekeeping programs.
• Schedule production and coordinate outbound shipments with traffic.
• Drive lean initiatives plant-wide to improve efficiency.
• Set team goals and track KPIs for continuous improvement.
• Manage team member development, hiring decisions and performance reviews.
• Train teams in lean methodologies, SOPs and waste elimination.
• Cross-train employees across functions to maximize manufacturing throughput.
• Empower team members to drive success.
