Job summary

McElroy Metal in Diamond, MO seeks a Production Manager to oversee day-to-day production, drive lean initiatives, meet deadlines, and deliver premier customer service. You will lead a technically skilled team, protect safety, and manage cost through continuous improvement.

The role requires strong leadership, planning and problem-solving abilities with 5–10 years of manufacturing experience and supervisory history. Regular hours 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, with shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads and guides Best Practices of Safety and Quality to ensure both are demonstrated as Core Values.
• Directly accountable for preventative maintenance program, execution of operational organization and housekeeping.
• Responsible for production scheduling and coordination with traffic on out-bound shipments.
• Leads and guides lean initiatives to help develop the overall lean strategy for plant-wide implementation.
• Establish team goals and track key performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement.
• Responsible for all aspects of developing team members, employment decisions, and performance assessments of team members.
• Ensures all team members receive training in and execute lean methodologies, standard operating procedures, best practices, and the lean tools used for continuous improvement and elimination of waste.
• Ensures cross training of all team members across all job functions to allow for flexing of employees to optimize the effectiveness of the manufacturing process.
• Empowers team members in a positive manner to drive team’s success
