Job summary

BDO USA seeks an Assurance Manager to supervise audit engagements from planning through wrap-up, directing staff, and ensuring profitable engagements. You will market and network within your area of expertise while advising clients on GAAP/GAAS issues and regulatory developments.

The role emphasizes on-site leadership and staff development to deliver high‑quality financial statements. Ideal candidates bring strong knowledge of GAAP/GAAS, SEC/PCAOB rules, and the ability to supervise multiple

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; major in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics preferred.
Master’s degree in Accountancy preferred; active CPA or equivalent may be required.
Experience with audits, GAAP/GAAS, and SEC/PCAOB guidelines preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise, direct, and review audit engagements from planning to wrap‑up.
Advise clients on economic and regulatory risks and unresolved accounting issues.
Ensure engagement profitability including billings and collections.
Provide guidance to engagement teams and communicate with Audit Committee as needed.
Maintain on‑site supervision of audit team during field work.
