Dover School District, SAU 11’s Dover Middle School in Dover, NH, is seeking an ESOL Interventionist to provide language and academic support to students qualifying for ESOL services. This full-time paraeducator role works under an ESOL teacher to help students access instruction and track progress.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree or equivalent experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with technology (Google Suite, Microsoft Office) to support lessons and family

Job Description

An ESOL Interventionist is a paraeducator who provides language and academic support and instruction to students who qualify for ESOL services, under the guidance and direction of an ESOL teacher. An ESOL Interventionist may support classroom access for ESOL students, may assesses student progress, and will collaborate with the ESOL teacher to help students achieve their academic and language goals.

Job Requirements

• Required: Paraeducator II; Associates Degree or Comparable Experience providing intervention services in English Language Development preferred. Ability to use a variety of instructional strategies and resources to support diverse learners. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively. Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students who are learning English. Proficient in the use of technology to support program implementation and communication with stakeholders. Preferable experience with Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
