Job summary

Great Hearts Lakeside Lower School in Fort Worth is seeking an ESL Coordinator/Teacher to coordinate and deliver ESL services for emergent bilingual students. The role requires Texas ESL certification and bilingual endorsement and involves planning assessments, LPAC meetings, and curriculum development.

The position collaborates with the Special Student Services Team to ensure safe, supportive classroom environments and aligned language outcomes across grade levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required.
• Valid/Current Texas Teacher Certification required.
• Valid Texas Bilingual Spanish Endorsement or ESL Supplemental required.
• Texas Teaching Certification in a Generalist or Core Content Area that covers assigned grade levels required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate processes to identify emergent bilingual students across grade levels.
• Develop and revise bilingual/ESL curriculum as needed.
• Plan and conduct LPAC meetings and required language assessments.
• Manage ESL classroom and schedule, overseeing ESL staff.
• Provide pull-out ELAR instruction and support for emergent bilinguals.
