Job summary

Great Hearts Lakeside Lower School in Ft. Worth seeks an ESL Coordinator/Teacher (K-5) to coordinate and deliver ESL services.

The role requires Texas ESL certification and bilingual endorsement, with duties including identifying emergent bilingual students, planning language assessments, LPAC meetings, curriculum development, and supervising ESL staff. You will partner with teachers, families, and administrators to ensure compliant, high quality language support and safe, inclusive classrooms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required.
• Valid/Current Texas Teacher Certification required.
• Valid Texas Bilingual Spanish Endorsement or ESL Supplemental required.
• Texas Teaching Certification in a Generalist or Core Content Area that covers assigned grade levels required.

Responsibilities

• Identify emergent bilingual students across K–5 using data and testing.
• Develop and revise bilingual and ESL curriculum as needed.
• Conduct LPAC meetings and coordinate language assessments.
• Manage ESL classroom and schedule; supervise ESL staff.
• Provide small group pull-out ELAR instruction for emergent bilinguals.
• Communicate with parents, administrators, and teachers about language services.
• Compile budget and assist with equipment and supplies for ESL program.
• Maintain records and comply with federal/state policies on ELLs.
