Job summary

Great Hearts Academies is seeking ESL Coordinators/Teachers for multiple openings across Dallas/Ft. Worth and San Antonio campuses. The role reports to the Headmaster and is supported by the Special Student Services Team.

Responsibilities include coordinating emergent bilingual identification, developing curriculum, and coordinating assessments, LPAC meetings, and program evaluation to ensure student success and compliance with state requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required.
• Valid/Current Texas Teacher Certification required.
• Valid Texas Bilingual Spanish Endorsement or ESL Supplemental required.
• Texas Generalist or Core Content Area certification for assigned grade levels required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and identify emergent bilingual students across grade levels and review student data.
• Develop and revise bilingual/ESL curriculum and support teachers with course work.
• Lead LPAC meetings and coordinate assessments and reclassification processes.
• Ensure ESL programs meet the needs of emergent bilingual students and monitor safety and wellbeing.
• Prepare program budgets and select supplemental equipment and supplies.
