Job summary

Framingham Public Schools is seeking a Language Development (LD) Coach to support Walsh Middle School and the 2026-2027 school year. The role ensures DESE compliance for English learners, strengthens high-quality ESL and sheltered content instruction, and guides EL identification, placement, service delivery, and monitoring.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Elementary Education or related field is required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of classroom teaching with multilingual learners or DLBE experience; leadership/mentorship experience.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Lead Team Time and collaborative planning to ensure curriculum alignment and data-driven instruction.
• Provide high-quality professional development and coaching to staff.
• Conduct coaching with teachers to improve language development practices and support multilingual learners.
• Collaborate with families and district leadership to advance equitable outcomes for all students.
• Oversee DLBE program implementation, data monitoring, and educator professional development.
