Job summary

Katy ISD is seeking an Elementary ESL teacher to deliver high-quality ESL services using Content-Based Language Instruction (CBLI) for emergent bilingual students. The role requires collaboration with general and special education teachers to accelerate language acquisition and student achievement.

Holders of a Texas ESL endorsement will implement district ESL models, participate in LPAC/ARD/MTSS meetings, and contribute to family engagement and instructional design aligned with TEKS/ELPS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Texas Educator Certificate with ESL endorsement (EC-6) required.
• Minimum of three years of elementary teaching experience, including emergent bilingual students.
• Knowledge of TEKS and ELPS; data-driven instruction; use of LMS tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ESL services using CBLI to EB students aligned with TEKS/ELPS.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to accelerate language development and academic achievement.
• Develop lessons meeting district curricular requirements and accommodate language proficiency levels.
• Lead data-informed instruction and use multiple data sources to track student growth.
• Participate in LPAC, ARD, and MTSS/RTI meetings as needed.
