Job summary
Katy Independent School District seeks an Elementary Bilingual teacher (5th ELAR/SS) to join our Katy ISD team. The role requires a Texas teaching certificate with ESL endorsement and an ability to deliver bilingual instruction in a dynamic classroom.
The teacher will plan lessons, differentiate for varied learner needs, and collaborate with staff to meet district goals. Existence of 187 duty days and exempt status are noted. Competitive compensation is provided.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required.
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements for subject and level assigned.
- ESL certification required for K-5 RLA or self-contained/special education/general ed assignments.
- ESL certification preferred for Math, Science, Social Studies assignments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with district curriculum.
- Differentiate instruction and use accommodations for diverse learners.
- Present content per TEA guidelines and district policies.
- Collaborate with staff to plan goals and best practices.
- Incorporate digital tools to promote learning and creativity.
- Assist in selecting instructional materials.
