Katy ISD is seeking an ESL Aide at Shafer Elementary to support English Language Learners across classrooms. The role collaborates with the Campus EB Specialist, ESL teacher, and core teachers to provide high-quality ESL services.

The position requires strong organization and the ability to work within deadlines. The incumbent will assist in small-group instruction, administer language assessments, and maintain confidentiality of student information.

Qualifications

• Fluent in both oral and written English and Arabic.
• College hours 48 required for Title I campus or GED/high school diploma acceptable for non-Title I campus.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with ESL and content teachers in the classroom as needed.
• Facilitate targeted small group instruction based on EB students’ language levels.
• Understand and implement state/district ESL program policies for EB students.
• Administer oral and written tests for EB students as needed, including EL Testing Center duties.
• Maintain confidentiality of students and staff; perform other duties as assigned.
