Lake Tahoe Community College (LTCC) is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach English as a Second Language in the noncredit/ESL discipline.

The ideal candidate will support diverse learners through equity-minded, student-centered instruction across face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats, with a commitment to professional collaboration and timely assessment. Starting wage is $65.23 per hour; assignments vary by departmental need.

Qualificações

• All faculty must meet state-adopted minimum qualifications or locally established equivalencies.
• Bachelor’s degree in teaching English as a second language, or related fields, plus a TESL certificate.
• Experience teaching English as a second language in accredited institutions is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Teach assigned ESL courses meeting the department's standards and course outlines.
• Prepare and evaluate student work, maintain currency in the subject matter.
• Submit attendance rosters and grade reports as due.
• Provide a written course syllabus at course start and refer students to college resources.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment free from harassment or bias.
• Collaborate with college staff and support services to help students succeed.
