Job summary

Lansing Community College is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to teach English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). This part-time role involves developing and delivering ESOL instruction, including career-specific ESOL courses, at Downtown, West Campus, East Campus, or offsite locations as needed.

The candidate will work within a flexible schedule, with part-time workload limits and pay based on the PT salary schedule. A Bachelor's degree in a related field and teaching experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Adult Education, Education, Special Education, Reading, English, Language Arts, Literacy, Linguistics, TESOL, or comparable area of study documented by degree/course descriptions.
• Experience teaching adult learners.
• IMPORTANT: If an educational degree is required for this position, unofficial copies of transcripts from each institution of higher learning where either a degree has been conferred or coursework completed are required documents that must be submitted as part of the online application process.
• Applicants with foreign education credentials must contact NACES credential evaluation services and request an academic transcript evaluation. The credential evaluation must be submitted with the application materials.

Responsibilities
