Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or pass ParaPro exam.
• Or 60 credit hours or an Associate's degree.
• Preferred: associate degree.
• Experience or education may substitute qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the instructional process under supervision.
• Prepare instructional aids and technology as directed.
• Reinforce positive learning and behavior with students.
• Assist students in developing study skills and learning objectives.
• Support parental involvement activities.
• Demonstrate understanding and respect of each student’s culture and interests.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Perform related clerical and recordkeeping duties.
• Adhere to safety procedures.
• Provide support in labs, libraries, or learning facilities.
• Assist in implementing a student’s IEP.
• Translate if able and appropriate.
• Monitor student behavior with staff.
• Perform Medicaid administrative claims per SDAC guideline.
