Job summary

The School District of Lee County is seeking an Instructional Support assistant (ESE) for the Royal Palm Exc Ctr in Estero, FL. This grant-funded role supports instructional staff, assists with materials, and helps students with learning and behavior skills under supervision.

Requirements include a high school diploma or 60 credits/associate degree, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. 17.42 hourly, 7 hours daily, 187 days per year, with possible compensation based on

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent or passing ParaPro exam.
60 college credits or an Associate's degree.
Knowledge of privacy and education laws (FERPA, HIPAA) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist in instructional process with students individually or in small groups under supervision.
Prepare, organize, and use instructional aids and materials as directed.
Reinforce positive learning and behavior with students.
Help develop students' study skills to meet instructional objectives.
Support parental involvement activities.
Maintain confidentiality of student information.
Perform related clerical and recordkeeping duties as directed.
Provide lab/library/learning center support as appropriate.
Assist in implementation of IEPs when needed.
