Job summary

The School District of Lee County Buckingham Exc Student Ctr - Fort Myers, FL is seeking a part-time Instructional Support role in ESE. You will work with students individually or in small groups, under supervision, to implement teacher plans and support learning.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with ParaPro eligibility, or 60 college credits/Associate's degree. Experience with confidentiality and student privacy is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with passing score on ParaPro exam.
• Or 60 credit hours or an Associate's degree from an accredited institution.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, FERPA and related privacy laws.
• Ability to communicate clearly and manage tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the instructional process with students individually or in small groups under supervision.
• Prepare, organize, and use instructional aids, materials, and technology as directed.
• Reinforce positive learning and behavior patterns with students.
• Support students in developing study skills and achieving instructional objectives.
• Assist in parental involvement activities and maintain confidentiality.
• Provide translator support when able and appropriate.
• Monitor student behavior in cafeteria and other campus locations.
• Perform related clerical and recordkeeping duties as directed.
