Job summary

Primary Residential Mortgage is seeking a detail-oriented Escrow/Tax Specialist to support mortgage accounts. The role handles outbound communications, tax and escrow inquiries, and reconciliation tasks across ticklers, disclosures, and vendor interactions.

You will coordinate with FHA/PMI providers, set up 203K accounts, issue wires, prepare reports, and maintain accurate records in Mortgage Builder and Excel. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Mortgage related experience preferred.
• Strong organization, customer service, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to borrowers, tax authorities, PMI companies, and vendors to request billings for accounts in ticklers.
• Assist with customer inquiries regarding taxes, mortgage insurance, 203K wires, payments, and refunds.
• Research delinquent tax, MIP, PMI, and special assessment ticklers.
• Monitor tax vendors, send legal descriptions when necessary, and research duplicate tax contracts.
• Ensure timely escrow payments by monitoring non-escrowed accounts and reconciling escrow activity.
• Reconcile tax audit reports and monitor tickler daily schedules with escrow teams.
• Communicate with tax agencies to resolve issues and adjust tax accounts as bills are received.
• Research FHA balancing issues, PMI cancellations, and 203K processes; create timelines for closeouts.
