Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking an Escrow Officer for its Financial Service Title- Escrow Department.

The right candidate will manage timely real estate closings (escrow) as directed by the Branch Manager in a dynamic, Fortune 500 environment. Responsibilities include handling residential resale, refinance, and builder escrow transactions, preparing instructions, depositing funds, disbursing, and balancing accounts while maintaining strong relationships with Realtors, lenders, builders and buyers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Notary
• Knowledge of basic accounting/bookkeeping procedures.
• Knowledge of basic real estate/escrow/title terminology.
• Excellent English grammar, spelling and punctuation.

Responsibilities

• Perform real estate closings (escrow) timely as directed by Branch Manager.
• Complete routine residential resale, refinance, or builder escrow transactions.
• Prepare escrow instructions and amendments as applicable.
• Deposit escrow funds, prepare disbursements and balance escrow accounts.
• Conduct closings with customers and provide service to Realtors, lenders, builders, sellers and buyers.
• Supervise Escrow staff as directed and train Escrow Technicians and Assistant Escrow Officers.
