Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking an Escrow Officer to lead residential real estate closings in its Financial Service Title Escrow Department.

The candidate will complete escrow transactions, prepare instructions, and manage related disbursements under the Branch Manager’s guidance. Candidates should be able to supervise Escrow staff, solicit escrow work from Realtors, lenders, builders, and buyers, and maintain strong industry relationships in a Fortune 500 environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher; four–six years related experience or equivalent combination.
• Notary required.
• Knowledge of basic accounting/bookkeeping procedures, real estate/escrow/title terminology, and strong communication.
• Proficient in English grammar, spelling and punctuation.

Responsibilities

• Perform escrow duties including residential closings (escrow) as directed by Branch Manager.
• Prepare escrow instructions and amendments as needed.
• Deposit escrow funds, prepare disbursements and balance escrow accounts.
• Assist and train Escrow Technicians and Assistant Escrow Officers.
• Develop relationships with Realtors, lenders, builders, and buyers to solicit escrow and title business.
• Conduct closings with customers and support senior escrow staff as required.
