Job summary

PGP Title in Bloomington, MN is seeking an Escrow Officer to manage settlement operations for real estate transactions. The role acts as a liaison among buyers, sellers, lenders and related departments to ensure accurate closing documentation.

The candidate should have 1–3 years of escrow experience, a high school diploma, and strong customer service and communication skills to support a fast-paced office environment. In-office work five days a week is required.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of escrow officer/assistant escrow officer experience preferred.
  • Notary license requirements per state may apply.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all aspects of settlement transactions and prepare/coordinate settlement statements and deeds.
  • Verify loan documents, insurance documentation, seller statements, and contract details.
  • Obtain signatures for closing and explain documents to parties as needed.
  • Follow escrow accounting guidelines and Good Funds statutes; manage funds collection/disbursement.
  • Review escrow QA reports and resolve issues to ensure policy compliance.
  • Ensure timely flow of information between settlement, recording, and accounting departments.
  • Address post-closing issues and adhere to workflow processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Escrow Officer is primarily responsible for performing tasks related to settlement operations in the closing of real estate transactions. Acts as liaison between all parties to the transaction including homebuyer, seller, mortgage, accounting and other areas within the Title & Escrow Process.

Primary Job Responsibilities
  • Handle all aspects of the settlement transactions including preparation and approval of Settlement Statements, preparation and coordination of deeds, verify accuracy of loan documents, insurance documentation, seller statements, and contract or sales agreement.
  • Obtain signatures for closing transactions, explain all documents executed as needed, and facilitate questions/answers between parties to the transaction.
  • Follow Escrow Accounting Business Practice Guidelines which includes but is not limited to collection and disbursement of funds while complying with required State and Federal Good Funds statutes.
  • Review escrow quality assurance reports and resolve any outstanding issues to ensure compliance with required business policy.
  • Ensure timely and accurate flow of information and documentation from settlement team to Recording and Accounting Departments
  • Correct and resolve any post-closing issues that arise.
  • Ensure adherence to workflow processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to exert minimal force of 25 pounds to carry, lift, push, pull and otherwise move objects. On occasions, may have to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
Required Education/Experience
  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-3 years Escrow Officer/Assistant Escrow Officer experience
Required Licensing, Registration And/or Certifications
  • Licensing requirements as required by State/Federal Agencies
  • Notary Public license requirements as required by State
Required Skills/Knowledge
  • Customer service skills with experience engaging with diverse homebuyer demographics.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle fast paced and demanding work environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Experience with OneNote and SoftPro is a plus

  • Demonstrates proactive initiative and self-motivation to drive tasks and projects forward independently.
  • Exhibits exceptional time management and prioritization skills to efficiently meet deadlines and optimize task workflows.
SALARY RANGE:

$26.06 to $32.60 hourly depending upon experience.

This position is also eligible for an annual bonus based on the successful completion of defined performance objectives.
