Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1-3 years Escrow Officer/Assistant Escrow Officer experience.
• Licensing requirements as required by State/Federal agencies may apply.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of settlement transactions including preparation of Settlement Statements and coordination of deeds.
• Verify loan documents, insurance documents, seller statements, and contracts; ensure accuracy.
• Obtain signatures for closing transactions and explain documents as needed.
• Follow Escrow Accounting guidelines: collection and disbursement of funds per laws.
• Review escrow quality assurance reports and resolve issues to ensure policy compliance.
• Ensure timely flow of information between settlement, Recording, and Accounting.
• Resolve post-closing issues and adhere to workflow processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Escrow Officer is primarily responsible for performing tasks related to settlement operations in the closing of real estate transactions. Acts as liaison between all parties to the transaction including homebuyer, seller, mortgage, accounting and other areas within the Title & Escrow Process.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of the settlement transactions including preparation and approval of Settlement Statements, preparation and coordination of deeds, verify accuracy of loan documents, insurance documentation, seller statements, and contract or sales agreement.
• Obtain signatures for closing transactions, explain all documents executed as needed, and facilitate questions/answers between parties to the transaction.
• Follow Escrow Accounting Business Practice Guidelines which includes but is not limited to collection and disbursement of funds while complying with required State and Federal Good Funds statutes.
• Review escrow quality assurance reports and resolve any outstanding issues to ensure compliance with required business policy.
• Ensure timely and accurate flow of information and documentation from settlement team to Recording and Accounting Departments
• Correct and resolve any post-closing issues that arise.
• Ensure adherence to workflow processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education/Experience

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1-3 years Escrow Officer/Assistant Escrow Officer experience

Required Licensing, Registration And/or Certifications

• Licensing requirements as required by State/Federal Agencies
• Notary Public license requirements as required by State

Required Skills/Knowledge

• Customer service skills with experience engaging with diverse homebuyer demographics.
• Ability to multi-task and handle fast paced and demanding work environment

• This position is office-based, requiring in-office attendance five days a week to foster team collaboration and ensure direct customer engagement
