Job summary

PulteGroup, Inc. and its affiliates are seeking an Escrow Officer to manage settlement operations for real estate transactions.

This office-based role requires coordination with homebuyers, sellers, lenders, and accounting to ensure accurate statements and timely closings. The Escrow Officer will liaise with multiple parties, prepare settlement statements, deeds, and loan documents, and ensure compliance with state/federal requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years Escrow Officer/Assistant Escrow Officer experience.
• Licensing and Notary requirements as required by state

Responsibilities

• Handle all settlement transactions and prepare Statement and deeds.
• Coordinate deeds, verify loan documents and related paperwork.
• Obtain signatures for closing transactions and explain documents to parties.
• Follow escrow accounting guidelines including funds collection and disbursement.
• Review escrow quality assurance reports and ensure compliance with policy.
• Ensure timely flow of information to Recording and Accounting.
• Resolve post-closing issues and adhere to workflows.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Escrow Officer is primarily responsible for performing tasks related to settlement operations in the closing of real estate transactions. Acts as liaison between all parties to the transaction including homebuyer, seller, mortgage, accounting and other areas within the Title & Escrow Process.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of the settlement transactions including preparation and approval of Settlement Statements, preparation and coordination of deeds, verify accuracy of loan documents, insurance documentation, seller statements, and contract or sales agreement.
• Obtain signatures for closing transactions, explain all documents executed as needed, and facilitate questions/answers between parties to the transaction.
• Follow Escrow Accounting Business Practice Guidelines which includes but is not limited to collection and disbursement of funds while complying with required State and Federal Good Funds statutes.
• Review escrow quality assurance reports and resolve any outstanding issues to ensure compliance with required business policy.
• Ensure timely and accurate flow of information and documentation from settlement team to Recording and Accounting Departments
• Correct and resolve any post-closing issues that arise.
• Ensure adherence to workflow processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Physical Requirements: Ability to exert minimal force of 25 pounds to carry, lift, push, pull and otherwise move objects. On occasions, may have to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.

Required Education/Experience

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1-3 years Escrow Officer/Assistant Escrow Officer experience

Required Licensing, Registration and/or Certifications

• Licensing requirements as required by State/Federal Agencies
• Notary Public license requirements as required by State

Required Skills/Knowledge

• Customer service skills with experience engaging with diverse homebuyer demographics.
• Ability to multi-task and handle fast paced and demanding work environment

SALARY RANGE: $26.06 to $32.60 hourly depending upon experience.
This position is also eligible for an annual bonus based on the successful completion of defined performance objectives.

Benefits: In addition to up to 9 paid company holidays per year, employees are eligible for up to 8 days of sick pay. Moreover, eligible employees with less than 10 years of service can accrue up to 15 PTO days per year (and up to 20 PTO days per year upon 10 or more years of service).
