Job summary

Job description

• Prepare all documents associated with processing and closing escrow, conveyance of title, recording documents, clearing title requirements, and issuing title insurance
• Develop and maintain business using marketing and customer service techniques
• Communicate and coordinate daily responsibilities with the Branch or Escrow Manager
• Obtain demands/releases to clear title
• Draw instructions and supporting documents for signing
• Audit and close files when all funds and documents are received
• Disburse funds
• Write escrow instructions and obtain party approval
• Estimate money required to close escrow and obtain buyer and seller deposits
• Review commitment and/or preliminary title reports to verify vesting and legal descriptions
• Reconcile discrepancies between instructions and title reports with the title officer and/or principals
• Order beneficiary statements or demands, fire insurance, loan interest, rents, and other prorated items
• Direct and participate in preparing settlement sheets
• Train, supervise, guide, and assign work to other associates in the office
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and escrow transactions
• Comply with escrow accounting procedures and Good Funds Law
• Solicit business in person, through development functions or activities, or virtually
• Prepare Account Servicing Setups when applicable
• Know the Rate Manual and quote accurate fees

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• At least 3 years of Escrow Officer experience
• Supervisory experience is preferred
• Notary license is required
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required
