Otis Elevator Company in Bloomfield, CT is seeking an Escalator Technical Project Manager to lead and coordinate escalator projects across New Equipment and Modernization from estimating to handover.

This role serves as the interface between sales offices, customers and manufacturing, requiring strong technical, PM and communication skills, with 5+ years of relevant experience and AutoCAD/MS Office proficiency. Hybrid work arrangement near Bloomfield is recommended.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in engineering and/or project management.
• Engineering experience in escalator modernization/repair/installation desirable.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills and self-direction with attention to processes and procedures.
• Demonstrated flexibility/adaptability in high stress, ambiguous environments.
• Strong leadership, time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and review architectural and structural drawings.
• AutoCAD experience preferred.
• MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
• Minimal travel to Bloomfield, CT a few times a year.

Responsibilities

• Support escalator projects through the full business cycle from estimating to handover.
• Review technical bid specifications and drawings to ensure product alignment.
• Provide technical support to sales offices to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Act as a liaison between sales offices, the customer and the factory to resolve issues.
• Manage project schedules to proactively identify and mitigate risks to delivery.
• Communicate regularly and respond to sales office and customer requests.
