Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in engineering and/or project management within construction.
• Engineering experience in escalator Modernization/Repair/Installation is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with attention to processes and procedures.
• Flexibility/adaptability in high stress environments.
• Strong leadership, time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and review architectural and structural drawings.
• Working knowledge of MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support escalator projects on both New Equipment and Modernization sides through estimating, ordering, shipment, installation and handover.
• Review technical bid specifications and drawings to ensure product alignment.
• Provide technical support to sales offices to meet customer requirements.

The Escalator Technical Project Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating escalator projects across both New Equipment and Modernization businesses throughout the entire project lifecycle, from estimating and order entry through manufacturing, installation, and customer handover. This role serves as the critical link between sales offices, customers, and manufacturing teams, ensuring technical requirements are accurately translated into successful project execution. The successful candidate will leverage strong technical expertise, project management skills, and customer focus to proactively manage schedules, mitigate risks, resolve complex issues, and deliver projects that meet customer expectations for quality, performance, and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate should be based near Bloomfield, CT to accommodate a hybrid schedule.

On a typical day you will:

• Support escalator projects on both New Equipment and Modernization sides of the organization throughout the full business cycle of estimating, ordering, shipment, installation and customer handover.
• Review technical bid specifications and drawings to ensure product alignment.
• Provide technical support to the sales offices to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Act as a liaison between the sales offices, the customer and the factory to promptly resolve open issues.
• Manage project schedules to proactively identify and mitigate risks to delivery
• Communicate regularly and show responsiveness to sales office and customer requests.

What you will need to be successful:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management or related field preferred
• 5+ years of relevant experience in engineering and / or project management within the construction industry
• Engineering experience within escalator Modernization/Repair/Installation is highly desirable
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills and self-direction with attention with a focus on processes and procedures
• Demonstrated flexibility / adaptability in high stress, ambiguous environments
• Strong leadership, time management and organizational skills
• Ability to read and review architectural and structural drawings
• AutoCAD experience preferred
• Working knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.)
• Minimal travel to Bloomfield, CT a few times a year

The salary range for this role is $93,000 - $116,000. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may change in the future. Pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
