Job summary

Resource 1, Inc. seeks a Sr. Project Manager with ERP implementation experience to lead a critical phase of a large-scale transformation in downtown Chicago.

This is a long-term contract requiring onsite work two days per week. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of PM experience, deep ERP delivery knowledge, and the ability to drive governance, risk management, and cross-functional coordination with vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of project management experience in ERP-heavy environments.
• Understanding ERP delivery lifecycles including data migration, integrations, testing, and deployment.
• Ability to operate independently in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of an ERP implementation, coordinating internal teams and system integrators.
• Own project planning, scheduling, milestones, dependencies, and critical path management.
• Establish and maintain project governance, reporting cadence, and executive-level communication.
• Drive cross-functional alignment across business, IT, data, and integration teams.
• Identify risks, issues, and dependencies; develop mitigation and escalation strategies.
• Manage vendor performance, deliverables, and contract alignment.
• Facilitate project ceremonies including status, steering committees, and executive updates.
• Ensure disciplined change control, scope management, and decision tracking.
• Support readiness activities across data, testing, cutover, and go-live planning.
