This is a long-term contract requiring onsite work two days per week. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of PM experience, deep ERP delivery knowledge, and the ability to drive governance, risk management, and cross-functional coordination with vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of an ERP implementation, coordinating internal teams and system integrators.

• Establish and maintain project governance, reporting cadence, and executive-level communication.
• Drive cross-functional alignment across business, IT, data, and integration teams.
• Identify risks, issues, and dependencies; develop mitigation and escalation strategies.
• Manage vendor performance, deliverables, and contract alignment.
• Facilitate project ceremonies including status, steering committees, and executive updates.
• Ensure disciplined change control, scope management, and decision tracking.
• Support readiness activities across data, testing, cutover, and go-live planning.

Job description

Resource 1 is in need of a Sr. Project Manager with ERP implementation experience to lead a critical phase of a large-scale enterprise transformation. This is a long-term contract with our client based in downtown Chicago. Individual must be local to Illinois to be able to attend an onsite interview and work onsite 2 days per week (Tues/Wed or Tues/Thurs) in downtown Chicago.

Our client is undergoing a multi-year (estimated 3-5) financial transformation initiative, which includes the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics to replace over 200 on-prem legacy applications. This role will be responsible for driving execution across multiple workstreams, vendors, and internal stakeholders, ensuring delivery against aggressive timelines while maintaining strong governance and accountability. This is a hands-on, delivery-oriented role requiring an experienced ERP project leader who can operate with minimal direction, proactively manage risk, and maintain momentum in a complex environment.

Responsibilities:

• Experience working alongside systems integrators and third-party data vendors.
