Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory seeks a Communications Specialist 4 to lead communications for a multi-year ERP transformation with SAP S/4HANA integration.

You will craft strategies, write and edit content for employees across all levels, and coordinate with leadership, change management, and partners to ensure clear, timely messaging and successful adoption of new business processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and minimum 12 years of relevant professional experience or equivalent.
• Extensive professional writing, editing, and content-development experience.
• Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, editing standards, and professional communications practices.
• Experience developing and executing communications strategies for large, complex or enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Strong project-management and organizational skills across multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
• Experience working with executive-level leaders and developing executive communications and messaging.
• Ability to capture an executive voice and develop polished materials with minimal oversight.
• Experience creating multi-channel campaigns with measurable outcomes.
• Experience incorporating multimedia content into communications strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic communication plans supporting a large-scale enterprise transformation.
• Partner with leadership, change management, and system integrators to identify communication needs and messaging.
• Create, write, edit, and manage communications for employees, managers, and executives.
• Develop content across newsletters, web content, presentations, announcements, and multimedia materials.
• Maintain consistent messaging aligned with project objectives across the program.
• Translate complex changes into understandable communications for diverse audiences.
• Support change management by communicating impacts and available resources and support.
• Develop executive-level communications to reflect senior leadership voice and style.
• Collaborate with multimedia professionals to integrate visuals into campaigns.
• Coordinate communication across multiple workstreams while managing deadlines and priorities.
