Job summary

Indium Corporation in Clinton, NY seeks an ERP and Software Automation Project Specialist to support day-to-day project tasks and lead small projects under supervision. You will maintain schedules, capture decisions, organize requirements, and coordinate go-live events, ensuring clear communication and data accuracy across teams.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree, CAPM progression toward PMP, and at least one year of cross-functional project-management experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in information systems, computer science, business, or a related field preferred.
• CAPM with progress toward PMP or equivalent credential preferred.
• Minimum of one year of progressive project-management experience leading cross-functional technology projects.
• Provide own source of transportation for local/day travel between facilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain project schedules, task lists, and action registers, update status, and flag slippage to the supervising project manager.
• Prepare meeting agendas, capture decisions and action items, and distribute concise minutes to stakeholders.
• Organize requirement-gathering sessions and document stakeholder input using approved templates.
• Coordinate logistics for workshops, user-acceptance testing, and go-live events.
• Track team capacity, vacations, and resource shifts; alert the project manager to potential conflicts.
• Compile status reports, KPI snapshots, and variance charts for project manager review.
• Maintain and version-control project documentation, SOPs, training materials, and templates.
• Independently manage small, well-defined projects assigned by a project manager.
• Recommend incremental improvements to tools, checklists, and processes.
• Visit production areas to validate adoption and build relationships.

JOB SUMMARY

The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Software Automation Project Specialist supports project managers by executing day-to-day project-management tasks and, when assigned, leading small, well-defined projects under close supervision. The role involves maintaining schedules, documentation, and logistics; gathering and organizing information; and identifying emerging risks so the project manager can take prompt action. By keeping data accurate and communication clear, the ERP and Software Automation Project Specialist helps cross-functional teams stay aligned and ensures that work progresses smoothly.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES)

• Maintain project schedules, task lists, and action registers, update status, and flag slippage to the supervising project manager
• Prepare meeting agendas, capture decisions and action items, and distribute concise minutes to stakeholders
• Organize requirement-gathering sessions and document stakeholder input using approved templates
• Coordinate logistics for workshops, user-acceptance testing, and go-live events (rooms, invites, test data, sample parts)
• Track team capacity, vacations, and resource shifts; alert the project manager to potential conflicts
• Compile status reports, KPI snapshots, and variance charts for project manager reviewMonitor risk and issue logs; follow up on open items and elevate new blockers with context
• Maintain and version-control project documentation, SOPs, training materials, and templates
• Support defect triage, test-case tracking, and sign-off documentation during UAT
• Independently manage small, well-defined projects assigned by a project manager, adhering to agreed scope, schedule, and budget while seeking guidance on decisions outside authority
• Recommend incremental improvements to tools, checklists, and processes based on daily use
• Visit production areas as directed to validate adoption, uncover friction, build relationships, and identify new opportunities
• Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• Associate degree in information systems, computer science, business, or a related field preferred
• Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) with progress toward a Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent credential preferred
• Minimum of one year of progressive project-management experience leading high-impact, cross-functional technology projects
• Provide own source of transportation for any local/day travel, including travel between Indium Corporation facilities

The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the range for the position. The actual range will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill, and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications, and internal equity.

The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components include health, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, retirement plan, volunteer opportunities, paid holidays, overtime opportunities, and many more.

$22.50 per hour - $26.00 per hour

($46,750 - $54,000 annually)
