Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Production Control Coordinator to manage the flow of production documentation between the ERP system and the manufacturing floor, ensuring correct routers, drawings, and supporting documentation are released to production.

You will collect completed paperwork, compare actual hours to ERP estimates to support KPI reviews, and drive productivity and cost improvements through data-driven analysis.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, preferably Infor/Syteline.

Responsibilities

• Use ERP to print and prepare job routers, drawings, work instructions, and other production documentation.
• Verify required documentation is available and correct before releasing jobs to the shop floor.
• Ensure job packets contain drawings, routers, revisions, and supporting information.
• Distribute production paperwork to appropriate departments and work centers.
• Monitor released jobs to ensure paperwork reaches the shop floor in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Production Control, and Supervisors when documentation is missing or incorrect.
• Maintain awareness of drawing and document revisions to prevent outdated information.
• Collect completed job routers and production paperwork from the floor.
• Review paperwork for completeness, including labor hours, operation completion, quantities produced, and ERP alignment.
• Identify missing, incomplete, or questionable production information.
• Collaborate with departments to meet production targets while maintaining quality.
• Analyze production performance metrics and implement process improvements.
• Follow up with supervisors when clarification is required.
• Maintain organized tracking of open, active, and completed paperwork.
• Maintain preventative maintenance records of key manufacturing equipment.
• Coordinate emergency repairs and workarounds during PM activities.
