Job summary

The City of Fresno’s Information Services Department is seeking a dynamic Business Process and Systems Analyst to join the team. This professional role supports and enhances the City’s information systems, analyzes system functionality, and trains end users on enterprise-wide platforms.

It works with the General Services Department to improve fleet and facilities software utilization and service delivery. Key responsibilities include designing reporting structures, documenting work processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, personnel management, computer science, MIS, or related field.
• Two years experience using various ERP systems in a Finance, Payroll, or Personnel office setting.
• At least one year of business process improvement.
• Must attach diploma or transcripts to online application.
• Possess a valid California driver’s license at time of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Designing program structures for custom reporting and operational insights.
• Partnering with City departments to develop, refine, and document work processes.
• Managing the installation and rollout of system upgrades.
• Preparing cost-benefit evaluations to support technology decisions.
• Delivering user training and providing support for technology decisions.
• Overseeing, maintaining, and updating databases, and building new databases where needed.
