Job summary

City of Fresno is seeking a Business Process and Systems Analyst to enhance information systems within the Information Services Department. The role collaborates with General Services and client departments to unlock ERP capabilities, design reports, and improve workflows.

Training end users and guiding system upgrades are key duties. The position requires a bachelor's degree and ERP experience, with an emphasis on process improvement and inter-department coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, personnel management, computer science, MIS or related field.
• Two years' experience using various Enterprise Resource Planning Systems in a Finance, Payroll, or Personnel setting, including at least one year in business process improvement.
• Experience implementing ERPs and analyzing programs for process efficiencies is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Design program structures for custom reporting and operational insights.
• Partner with City departments to develop, refine, and document work processes.
• Manage installation and rollout of system upgrades.
• Prepare cost-benefit evaluations to support technology decisions.
• Deliver user training and provide support for technology decisions.
• Deliver solutions for system-related issues.
• Oversee and update databases; build new databases where needed.
