Job summary

Custom Ingredients, Inc. in California seeks a Customer Service Representative to support administrative processes within the Customer Service department. You will prepare correspondence, fulfill customer needs, and process orders under supervision.

Requirements include a High school diploma with 3+ years of customer support, ERP experience (Deacom preferred), and strong MS Office skills. The role involves local travel, Monday–Friday hours, and collaboration with Production, Sales and Purchasing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of customer support experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of customer support experience preferred.
• Deacom or similar ERP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build sustainable relationships by communicating independently with customers and coordinating outbound communication to potential customers.
• Answer customer service calls and provide updates on order status, lead times, and pricing.
• Utilize ERP systems to file customer documents, process orders, and keep records of customer interactions.
• Answer new customer inquiries, outline notes, and send to the appropriate Account Manager.
• Review processes and procedures to continually improve our support to customers.
• Collaborate with the Accounting department to process customer payments and evaluate accounts receivable and overdue customer accounts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Production, Sales, Purchasing, and others, to ensure customer needs are satisfied.
• Accurately and efficiently process orders end-to-end, enabling Operations to ensure timely delivery to customers.
• Additional duties as assigned.
